It was an unusually overcast day in the Okanagan... so what better way to spend your time than to take off and visit some wineries with friends...

Our first stop Sumac Ridge...

The wine wasn't that bad that i was hiding behind the sign

But bloody hell.... they had the sprinklers on and got me right in the back... Chris took it like a man but i just bailed!

Now, we aren't sure what the significance of the mermaid is... but she looks like she is a bit out of her depth...

And the Red Rooster Winery.... stop number 2.

This one had a most excellent white... Kim was most impressed... and bought some...

The red's weren't too shabby either...

Just on the way for tasting... a lot of these wineries do have restaurants as well...

The food at Summerhill (where we get married next summer) is superb...

How cheesy is this...

They are a little more relaxed about wine making here than in the old world...

I could just imagine the look on a Frenchmans face to this!
